Teenager dies after car goes into creek

AN 18-YEAR-OLD man died in a single-vehicle crash at Redbank Plains yesterday afternoon.

Early reports suggested the man's station wagon left the road and then crashed into a creek on Halletts Rd around 5.25pm, Ipswich police said.

The local man, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was confirmed dead at the scene.

Halletts Rd remained closed by traffic police until late last night, with vehicles diverted around the crash scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
