Teen in hospital after ferry crash

CITY Cat ferry and a rowing boat collided on the Brisbane River this morning leaving one teenage boy in hospital.

The public transport catamaran and a rowing boat collided on the river near Davies Park at West End at 5.45am

.A 15-year-old boy in the rowing boat received deep cuts to both sides of his head and a suspected neck injury.

He was taken to the Mater Children's Hospital in a stable condition, the Department of Community Services confirmed.

Another 15-year-old boy also in the rowing boat was uninjured.

Brisbane Lord Mayor Graham Quirk told ABC Radio there would be a full investigation into the incident.
