Teen faces court over stabbing

A 19-YEAR-OLD Ipswich man will face court on Monday charged with unlawful wounding following an alleged stabbing at Sadliers Crossing at the weekend.

Just before 2am on Saturday police were called to an address in Syntax Street following reports that a man had been seriously injured.

A 22-year-old local man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with apparent stab wounds to his upper torso.

The 19-year-old Ipswich man has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday.

Police from the Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch spent Saturday investigating the incident before pressing charges.
