Teen charged with grievous bodily harm

POLICE have charged a 16-year-old girl following an incident at Carole Park on Sunday afternoon.

It is alleged the teenager became involved in an altercation with a 28-year-old woman who the teenager knew, in South Hampton Road about 1.30pm.

The victim was transported by ambulance to the Princess Alexandra Hospital suffering cuts to her arm, leg and abdomen.

The youth was charged with one count each of unlawful wounding and grievous bodily harm. She will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
