Teams get set for city’s Relay for Life

THIS weekend more than 700 locals will lace up and take to the track at City of Ipswich Relay For Life in an effort to create hope for a cancer free future.

Relay For Life is an 18-hour event involving teams of up to 15 people keeping a baton moving in a relay style walk or run overnight, to raise vital funds for all Queenslanders affected by cancer.

The Cancer Council Queensland event will kick off at Bill Paterson Oval, Limestone Park at 3pm tomorrow, followed by 18 hours of fun and festivities, before the event comes to a close at 9am Sunday.

More information about Relay For Life is available at relayforlife.org.au or by calling 1300 65 65 85.
