Teachers have rhythm, kids still in shock
TEACHERS at Laidley State High School proved they were too cool for school recently when they danced to Uptown Funk, leaving students stunned.
The large group of staff have set off social media with a brilliantly choreographed routine to the Mark Ronson hit at the school's recent Splendour in the Hall concert.
"Great school with fantastic teachers. Working wonders," Steve Leese said.
"That was awesome! Good on the teachers," agreed Tara Janssen.
Lana Burley said it was events like the staff dance that made her proud to live in Laidley.
"Love living in this town," she said.
"Keep up the great work guys! Awesome night."
Student acts at Laidley State High School wowed crowds with a wide range of performances from singing, dancing, drumming, acting and even extreme skipping.
As talented as students were at Splendour in the Hall, they could not out-do the teachers who coordinated their moves and their outfits - sunglasses included - to create a performance the school would never forget.
Aroha Payne described the act as "Queensland's School of Rock" on Facebook with many predicting the video would go viral.
"So teachers find the time amongst everything else they do, to rehearse that as well. Awesome," said De Baggis.
"That is fantastic to see the teachers getting involved," agreed Jason Roberts.
"Congrats to everyone who was involved with this amazing night. Hubby and I loved every minute of it," said Kerry Hobden.
"We mainly went to watch our grandson Cody Murray perform, and we got the bonus of watching all who were in this. We will be back next year!"
The hilarious video has already gained more than 7200 views on the Laidley State High School Facebook page.
