LETTERS Tax changes must target evasive rich and not workers

AUSTRALIA does not need a 15% GST, we need a 2% tax on all financial transactions over $20K moved in any given four-week period.

That forces a fair tax contribution on tax evasive companies and those working minimisation schemes not available to the working majority.

That would put credibility into the Prime Minister's words "for a fairer tax system" that cannot be rorted and provide a revenue increase that would nullify any need for increased GST.

Tell the press and all politicians you support this proposal before you are bludgeoned with more GST that your family cannot afford.

G J MAY, Forestdale
