Tavern employees threatened at gunpoint in armed robbery

A TAVERN at Springfield was robbed last night by two men brandishing a rifle and a knife.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the pair threatened a female and male employee at the Springfield Parkway business around 10.30pm before fleeing with a sum of cash.

One of the men was wearing a light brown / beige hooded jumper, black pants and black shoes, and the other was wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants and black shoes. They were also wearing balaclavas and gloves.

No one was physically injured as a result of the robbery and police investigations are continuing.
