Take part in our celebration of Ipswich history

THE Ipswich public now has even longer to submit their photos for a special Queensland Times publication celebrating the history of Ipswich.

Then and Now is a pictorial book celebrating the changing face of the city.

It is now set to be published in February 2016, giving Ipswich residents more opportunity to submit their historical photos to be included in the book.

Residents now have until the end of December to submit a piece of their own history for inclusion.

Then and Now will feature everything from the history of Ipswich's two clock towers to family picnics, royal visits and the disasters that have hit the city since the 1840s.

The 140-page book features photographs dating back to the earliest days of photography in the 1860s as well as some of the most outstanding work from current QT photographers.

Submissions can be made by emailing hannah.busch@qt.com.au or by visiting the QT office at 260 Brisbane St, West Ipswich.
