Surprise for Currimundi resident after trip

A CURRIMUNDI resident got a rude shock when he returned from a trip to find a car in his kitchen.

The man had been to the Gold Coast and arrived home shortly after 6pm yesterday to find his yard full of police and rescue crews.

He also couldn't help noticing the utility sticking out of his back wall.

Witnesses said the vehicle left the road, crossed the yard of the Birubi St house and ploughed into the wall.

The 25-year-old driver escaped injury, but police were investigating whether alcohol was involved.
