Students become heroes for a day for charities

WEST Moreton Anglican College students from Prep to Year 12 have taken part in a special social justice event called Justice Jam at the college.

WestMAC students in each of the five houses selected a charity to support, with a gold coin donation and fundraising activities. The charities included:

  • Gilmore House: International China Concern.
  • Lawson House: School of St Jude in Tanzania.
  • Paterson House: Brave Companion Dog Rescue Centre in Laidley.
  • Mackellar House: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
  • Wright House: Queensland Kids (charity raising funds to for sick and disabled babies and children).

The students dressed to a theme to recognise their house charity. Paterson House, supporting Brave Companion Dog Rescue, dressed to a Cats and Dogs theme.
