Storage solution for sport sides

SPORTING groups that use the Ivor Marsden Park will all benefit from the storage facility recently built with funding from the Ipswich City Council and the Ipswich and West Moreton Cricket Association.

Mayor Paul Pisasale said the park had five ovals which were used by many local sporting groups, including the Ipswich and West Moreton Cricket Association.

“The cricket association is just one of many clubs that were in desperate need of more storage for their machinery and equipment,” Cr Pisasale said.

“Council was approached by the association seeking help with funding for a new six-bay shed and in conjunction with various councillors and the cricket club, we were able to fund the upgrade of the building.”

The storage facility cost $45,000 to be built.
