Step out in red to mark Day for Daniel

IPSWICH'S CBD will become a sea of red this Friday as the city's fourth annual Walk For Daniel winds its way through town.

Several hundred people will take part in the march, which raises awareness for child protection issues.

The walk was initiated by Bruce and Denise Morcombe, following the death of their son, Daniel.

Walkers will congregate in the mall from 9.30am.

A sausage sizzle and educational talks will follow the march, with money raised going to the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.
