Spotlight on RAAF security

SECURITY of RAAF Base Amberley's sophisticated aircraft and assets will feature at this Sunday's RAAF Amberley Aviation Heritage Centre free public open day.

See the RAAF Airfield Defence Guard display, including mounted and carried weapons and the iconic Australian-made Bushmaster and meet an explosive detection dog and its handler.

Also featured this Sunday is a presentation from the Holden Special Vehicles Owners Club of Queensland, with 50 eye-catching vehicles on display.

The RAAF Amberley Aviation Heritage Centre is open this Sunday and on the third Sunday of each month from 9am-3pm.

Due to RAAF security requirements, all visitors over the age of 16 must provide photographic identification and have their identification details recorded as a condition of entry.

Admission is free and photography is welcomed.
