Special events will commemorate war

A HOST of activities are planned for Ipswich people to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.

Ipswich libraries spokesman David Pahlke said programs planned for Ipswich aimed to build awareness of the men and women who served their country and also of life in Ipswich at the time.

The library sessions will begin on August 14 with a Click and You Shall Find session at Redbank Plains Library and on September 2 at Redbank Plaza Library.

Cr Pahlke said a series of static displays on First World War topics were scheduled during the year.
