OPINION: Sorry Pauline, I didn't mean to kill you off

"THE reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated."

Pauline Hanson could well have quoted that famous Mark Twain line to me after reading my editorial yesterday.

Yes, I had declared her dead and buried in the Lockyer election only to find out that like the ALP she may be also pulling off a miracle comeback.

The decision by the ALP candidate Steve Leese to leave her off his how to vote card was not swallowed by astute voters of Lockyer.

The preference counting has revealed that many threw that in the bin and voted for the candidates they wanted to see as their state member.

As I said yesterday having Pauline Hanson as the voice for Lockyer in a desperately close parliament can only be good for the district.

If she can beat Ian Rickuss in a photo-finish she will be one of just four independents and between them they can demand action in their electorates.

Maybe she won't make the cut, but at least she is scaring the life out of both the ALP and LNP and quite frankly I think that's great.
