'Slap and Tickle' worries TV star

MINDERS for Coolum singing sensation Darren Percival have reportedly gone into overdrive in a bid to protect his wholesome image.

Just a week after being named runner-up on hit TV show The Voice, Percival has become tied up in a legal row over a song he recorded before going on the show.

The Brisbane Times reported Percival's management appeared to be readying for a courtroom stoush to prevent his name being associated with a tongue-in-cheek hip-hop song he worked on a day or two before his audition.

Hobby musician David Lipworth reportedly claims he paid Percival $400 to sing the chorus and ad libs on the track, Slap & Tickle, recorded in February.

It was meant to "poke a bit of fun at the whole hip-hop chauvinistic genre in a tongue-in-cheek kind of way".
