Ski club splashes out on upgrades at Lake Moogerah

AN APPROVAL for the expansion of recreational facilities at the Lake Moogerah Water Ski Zone Club has been granted by Scenic Rim Regional Council.

The approval allows for two new boat sheds, the extension of two existing boat sheds, new ablution buildings including toilets and showers, and the extension of an outdoor covered area adjoining the clubhouse.

Councillor Virginia West said this would allow for better security and improve facilities for the club's membership base.

"The new sheds and the expansion of existing sheds will allow more members to safely secure their boats, while the ablution facilities will expand to cater for female toilets and a shower block separate to male facilities, and for persons with a disability," Cr West said.

Clubhouse renovations will include an additional new roofed patio and proposed upgrade to the existing club facilities.

Cr West said it would be great to have improved facilities for the 300 members of the club.
