AN UPCOMING performance at Studio 188 has embraced other Top of Town businesses in an attempt to bring more business to the area.

The Babbling Trillbillys, made up of vocalist Joy Winnel and comedienne Janet Findlay recently took to pounding the pavements of the Top of Town Arts and Cafe precinct in Brisbane St, to promote their upcoming show at the city's new boutique performance venue Studio 188.

Accompanied by award-winning local photographer David Davies the pair posed in character around the area in order to create pre-show entertainment incorporating the local area.

"We've simply fallen in love with the Top of Town area," Ms Winnel said.

"We came up with the idea in the hope that audiences who come to our shows will enjoy the shops and cafes which are all within five minutes walk."

Better Late Than Never is playing at Studio 188 on Fridays July 5, 12, 26 and August 2 at 11am each session. Bookings can be made by phoning the Ipswich Civic Centre on 3810 6100.
