Fined and suspended

A REDBANK Plains woman was going just five minutes down the road when she was caught drink driving last month.

Ipswich Magistrates Court was told that Diana Robyn Gee had been drinking scotch and coke at home on June 23 after hearing some distressing news.

Gee drove to a friend's house in Bellbird Park when police breathalysed the 54-year-old and she recorded 0.147.

Magistrate Virginia Sturgess told Gee the reading was well beyond an error of judgement.

Gee was disqualified for four months and fined $600.
