Shop windows smashed as angry woman goes on rampage

A RIVERVIEW woman who went on a crime rampage causing thousands of dollars' worth of damage to numerous businesses has been granted bail.

It is the second time in the past month the woman has been granted bail for these type of offences.

Malorey Ashligh Doyle, 20, appeared briefly on Tuesday in Ipswich Magistrates Court after being charged with six counts of wilful damage.

The court heard the alleged offences occurred shortly after midnight on February 9 at a shopping centre on Mitchell St, Riverview.

Six businesses were allegedly targeted in the rampage including a post office, day care, thrift shop, supermarket and a laundry.

Police will allege Ms Doyle smashed more than 20 windows in the suburban shopping complex before attempting to set fire to an industrial bin located next to two gas cylinders.

Ms Doyle was arrested at the scene and told officers she was angry after getting into a fight with her partner.

The court heard Ms Doyle was currently on bail for a similar offence she allegedly committed last month at Redbank Plaza.

Ms Doyle was charged on January 19, 2016 after allegedly throwing bricks at Police Beat windows resulting in massive damage.

She was arrested after waiting in the carpark outside the Police Beat for officers to arrive.

Magistrate Virginia Sturgess granted Ms Doyle bail on the condition she live at a specific address and not go near the shopping centre.

The matter was adjourned until February 18.
