Sex pest avoids serving jail time

A SEX PEST who was caught in the act of abusing himself in his vehicle twice in a month avoided jail time when he faced Ipswich Magistrates Court.

Roy Anthony Neumann was charged with committing an indecent act in public after a passer-by spotted him in the act, within view of a children's skate bowl in Warwick on March 6.

He was charged with a second count on March 21, when police officers located him inside his vehicle while it was parked on Horsman Rd, in the vicinity of the Glennie Heights State School.

Neumann, 48, had his case heard in Ipswich Magistrates Court where he was convicted on both counts of indecency on April 24.

Neumann was sentenced to six months imprisonment, but was granted immediate parole.
