Severe storms heading our way

SEVERE thunderstorms are expected to deliver damaging winds, heavy rain, flash flooding and large hailstones across Ipswich this afternoon.

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a warning for the Scenic Rim, Lockyer Valley, Ipswich City and Somerset council areas.

The thunderstorms are moving towards the east to northeast and are expected to reach Ipswich about 1.30pm.
