Seven-year-old boy caught driving a car through city

A MAN has been charged with serious traffic offences after police intercepted a car allegedly being driven by a seven-year-old boy at Surfers Paradise in the early hours of this morning.

It is alleged a man was in the passenger seat of the vehicle when police pulled the car over on The Esplanade around 3am.

A 41-year-old man from New South Wales has been charged with dangerous operation of a motorvehicle and adult in charge under the influence of liquor.

He is expected to face the Southport Magistrates Court on July 3, 2013.
