Seven injured in car v cafe crash

SEVEN people were injured after a car, believed to be driven by a disabled driver, crashed into a Sydney cafe on Wednesday.

New South Wales Police reported six people had minor injuries while one was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries.

They were sitting at tables outside the Neutral Bay cafe when the 4WD reversed into the building at about 9am.

The driver, a man aged in his 50s, was reported as emerging from the car holding crutches, while the car had a disability parking permit displayed.

Police said the driver was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for mandatory urine and blood tests.
