See the year out with a bang

Ipswich will see 2016 out in style with a big night of entertainment planned for New Year's Eve.

North Ipswich Reserve will host the annual celebration of the year that was.

This year it will include free children's rides, roving entertainment, food stalls, live music and a fireworks finale.

New Year's Eve 2016 will include special appearances by Paw Patrol and Trolls characters alongside the Boogie Woogies Superhero Band, fire dancers and live band Lure.

Mayor Paul Pisasale said the free community celebration would be held from 5.30-9.30pm.

"This is all about family fun; spending quality time with those near and dear to you and reflecting on the highs and lows of another 12 months," he said.
