TICKETS for the city's premier sports night, the Ipswich Sports Awards, are on sale.

Skateboarding clinics

GET the kids outdoors for the final weekend of the school holidays with two free skateboarding clinics.

The holiday clinics are from 9-11am at Leslie Park, Goodna, and at Goupong Park, Collingwood Park (noon-2pm).

The clinics are designed for beginners and for people who are more advanced and looking to learn some new tricks.

Skateboards and helmets are provided.

Brassall bike trails

NEW sections of flowing mountain bike trail are currently under construction at Mihi Junction Reserve in Brassall.

These family friendly trails will provide a great introduction to all forms of off road cycling. They will open up some great river views and also feature a section of rollers and berms suitable for BMX.

The trails will be open to ride in October.

Cycling celebration

THE Ipswich Cycling Club is celebrating its 125th birthday this year.

To mark the occasion the club is hosting a special screening of the movie All For One at 6.30pm on Thursday, October 26 at Event Cinemas Ipswich.
