Scoring players go south to earn more

IPSWICH Force coach Brad George was sorry to see both Nadeen Payne and Emma Langford leave the club.

But he knew there was nothing the Force could do to keep them and they have left with his blessing.

The Force's success last season, in which Langford and Payne were the leading scorers, brought them to the attention of bigger leagues than the QBL.

Both were able to earn more than double what the Force could pay them in the South East Australia competition.

"They were both good about it," he said.

"They didn't want to leave but it's professional sport."
