Twenty goals in two games as Bulls draw and lose
SCORING five goals in a football game is usually enough to secure three premiership points.
But when it is the unpredictable Ipswich City Bulls, that is never a guaranteed outcome.
Twenty goals were scored in two games as the Bulls drew 5-5 in their Capital League 2 home clash after the Reserves lost 6-4 to The Gap on Saturday.
Head coach Nev O'Sullivan acknowledged The Gap were top sides in both grades.
However, he expected more from his team which led 5-3 and had a player advantage for the last 10 minutes at Sutton Park.
"Attacking wise, I can't fault them," O'Sullivan said.
"We hit the bar three times, we hit the post, we had two goals disallowed. It could have been anything.
"But every time we make a mistake in defence, we get punished.
"It's just unbelievable."
Western Spirit's winless run continued with a 2-1 defeat to Brisbane Knights in their weekend Capital League 1 match at Kippen Park.
However, the Spirit Reserves won 5-0.
