School's fundraiser tees off

GOODNA Special School is calling for support for an upcoming golf day fundraiser.

P&C event co-ordinator Travis Madden said the golf day was the key to getting enough funds together to assist in the education of 130 students this year.

"We have a lot of projects to raise money for things that the kids need - things like horse riding and school camps," Mr Madden said.

"It's all about giving the students life skills."

The golf day fundraiser will be held at the Wolston Park gold course from 10am on Sunday, April 10, with tee-off at midday. Another 11 sponsors are needed for the school to reach its target.

"It's a shotgun start and cheating is highly encouraged - but it will cost you," Mr Madden said.

A number of local businesses have already come out in support of the golf day. For further information or to register your support, contact Mr Madden on 0490 009 489, or email him at lastpost432@gmail.com
