Santa extends kindness to furry friends

THEY say never work with children or animals - well now Santa Claus can say he's successfully worked with both.

The jolly, white-bearded traveller found a nice park for his sleigh outside Redbank Plaza recently to meet and greet with the pet dogs and cats of local Christmas shoppers. More than 60 creatures great and small got up close to the big guy.

Plaza spokeswoman Yasmin Chrzescijanski said Santa would return to Redbank Plaza to meet local kids this weekend.

Sessions are 10.30am-3.30pm Saturdays, 10.30am-1pm Sundays and 11am-3pm Monday to Friday.
