Salvos to the fore in flood help

THE Salvation Army, in conjunction with other agencies, continues to assist the many thousands of people affected by the devastating floods.

The Salvation Army emergency services team is working at evacuation centres across Queensland to provide food, water and moral support.

Captain Meaghan Gallagher from The Salvation Army North Queensland said many families had lost everything but “for now we are focusing on ensuring people are fed and looked after until the waters recede”.

Donations can be made at Woolworths and Big W stores, by calling 13 SALVOS (137258), by going online to salvos.org.au or by visiting any Westpac branch.
