Safety fears for missing 65-year-old

POLICE are searching for 65-year-old Bundamba man Brian Maynard who went missing last Sunday.

Police said Mr Maynard was reported missing to police by his wife, after she last saw him at his Bundamba home at 10am.

Police are concerned for Mr Maynard's safety and welfare because he suffers from a medical condition.

A police spokeswoman said inquires indicated Mr Maynard may have been sighted in the Cairns area on Thursday.

Mr Maynard is described as about 178 centimetres tall with a slim build, receding white or grey hair and moustache, fair complexion, and he wears glasses.

Anyone with any information that could assist police with their investigations or know of Mr Maynard's whereabouts should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or their local police station.
