Rodeo is the best fun in town

A RODEO that promises the best cowboys, the meanest bulls, the wildest horses and the funniest clown - all on Friday the 13th.

What more could you ask for?

Renowned rodeo organisers Kerry Hall and Ian Bostock are bringing their Wildside Rodeo Series back to Ipswich tomorrow.

The annual rodeo will be at Taipans Cricket Club on Redbank Plains Rd, Redbank Plains, starting at 7pm.

Promotions officer Carol Bostock said the night's program involved a bull and bronc spectacular interspersed with comedy routines.

The bull and bronc spectacular includes open bull ride, saddle bronc and open bareback as well as junior steer and poddy calf rides.

Mr Bostock and Mr Hall run a rodeo somewhere every weekend and aim to offer people the best entertainment in their town.

Mr Bostock takes care of the comedy side of things, including acting as the rodeo clown.

Mr Hall is the contractor who looks after the bulls and horses.

Ms Bostock, who is Ian's sister and Kerry's partner, said there also would be plenty of food, fun rides and a licensed area.

The Bostock family and Mr Hall have been promoting rodeos for more than 15 years.

Their rodeo is affiliated with the National Rodeo Association.

Provided the weather stays fine, they are expecting about 1800 people for tomorrow's Black Friday rodeo.

Tickets are available at the gate.
