Rochelle's kicking on in two sports

AGED 12, Fernvale-based Rochelle Vidler is already showing immense talent in two sports.

Rochelle is preparing to represent Queensland in football at the Australian titles at Richlands next month.

Her first state football honour comes after helping the Met West under-12 team finish fifth at the recent state championships at Trinity Beach in Cairns.

The Brisbane Valley Soccer Club striker has also made zone teams in club football.

However, she's also impressed in discus, having represented Queensland last year in athletics. She won a national school title at Adelaide.

Apart from her successes at Fernvale State School, the year 7 student represents the athletics club at Laidley.

She'll focus on athletics after completing her national football mission next month.
