Robbery at Yamanto convenience store

POLICE are investigating the armed robbery of a Yamanto convenience store this morning.

A man with a knife entered the store on the corner of Warwick Rd and Ash St about 6.45am and demanded cash from the attendant.

He fled on foot towards Saleyards Rd.

There were no injuries.

The offender was described as Caucasian, about 30 years old, wearing a hat and sunglasses and a gold jacket.

Police believe there is no connection between this offence and an armed robbery at Springfield last night.
