Robbers threaten staff and patrons in hotel hiest

DETECTIVES are investigating the armed robbery of a hotel at Jindalee last night.

Around 11.30pm two men entered the Sinnamon Road premises armed with a firearm and a knife before forcing staff and patrons onto the floor.

The pair threatened employees before stealing a sum of cash and fleeing the scene in a stolen green Mercedes-Benz SUV.

The vehicle was set alight and abandoned in Jennifer Street at Seventeen Mile Rocks a short time later.

One of the men was described as being about 188cm tall and wearing a blue hoodie, black track suit paints, white shoes and black knitted gloves.

The second man was described as being about 180cm tall and wearing a black hoodie and pants, white shoes and green rubber gloves.

Both men had material covering their faces.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing.
