KATIE Smith's boyfriend can't believe his luck.

"Look at how beautiful she is," he said.

"I didn't think I'd meet a girl like that on the internet."

Rob Scott met Katie on the internet dating site Plenty of Fish last year.

Now, the loved-up couple are living together in Gladstone.

Although both hoped to find someone special when joining up, neither actually expected to fall in love.

In fact, love was the last thing on Katie's mind.

"I was getting out of a really bad relationship at the time," she said. "I was completely heart-broken."

"My friends convinced me to join up to get my confidence back."

It is advice Katie is glad to have followed.

"If you've never tried internet dating before, it's really good for a laugh and a confidence boost," she said.

"It's all about the girls on there. The guys really do go fishing and the girls just sit back and relax."
