Right weather, right waves, time to ride

MORE than 100 surfers enjoyed swells of up to 1.7m today around the Coast following  increased swells brought on by Cyclone Freda.

The bluff at Alex proved to be the pick with the famous right-hander gifting locals and tourists with great conditions.

Normally more suited to mal's, the decent swell allowed short-boarders the chance to get among the action.

Swells are expected to peak on the Coast this afternoon before dropping slightly tomorrow.

The Bluff at Alex and Noosa points will be the pick for beginners and intermediates today and tomorrow.
