Rev heads buff up cars
A DROVE of motor enthusiasts will heat up the competition of classic, ute, hot rod, street, muscle and import automobiles at the Autobarn Car Buffs Motor Show in Bundamba next month.
The show promises to rev up the excitement for all ages, with everything from vintage vehicles to fast and fearless engineering displayed vying for first place in 10 individual car categories.
There will also be plenty of music by DJ J2, food and entertainment for the kids.
Event organiser Robyn Coleman expects hot competition on the day, with categories including classic, utes, people's choice, Japanese import, Street, American muscle and hot rods.
"We are awarding all first-place winners and runners up in the individual car categories with
a trophy and a prize package from our sponsors," Ms Coleman said.
Ipswich car lover Mark Abraham will be bringing his '34 Ford Tudor and competing in the hot rod category.
While everyone enjoys the cars, competition, fun and food, they will also be contributing to the Woolworths Fresh Future Kids Hospital Appeal.
Ms Coleman said the day's activities catered for all appetites, and the sausage sizzle would raise funds to help support kids in hospitals across Australia.
"Woolworths Collingwood Park has kindly supplied the sausage sizzle, so every dollar raised by the barbecue will go toward a very worthy cause," she said.
The show roars into Bundamba on Sunday November 20, from 9am until 1pm, at The Bremer TAFE oval next to The Bremer Community Child Care Centre, River Rd, Bundamba.
Entry is free and free parking will be available at The Bremer TAFE car park, accessible via Byrne Street.
