YOUR SAY: Beware the credit card in your letterbox

A WARNING to all residents.

Make sure your letterbox is fitted with a lock.

I arrived home yesterday to find my new credit card in my (then unlocked) letterbox.

I thought I would have to ring up to get the card activated etc, but not so; it was ready to use as is!

What's more, it was set up for Paywave for transactions up to $100. I tried it out this morning when I bought petrol.

No worries, just touch it on the machine and away you go!

No wonder mail gets stolen from letterboxes. If it had been stolen from my letterbox, I would have not known for three-four weeks when my existing card was due for renewal and by then, goodness knows how many transactions of just under $100 each would have been booked to my account.

Which bank? One guess!
