Repeat unlicensed driver fined

A MAN has been fined after driving unlicensed as a repeat offender.

Police caught David Ian Stevens, 41, driving on May 31 – his licence had expired in August, 2005.

Ipswich Magistrates Court heard Stevens was driving his kids to school at the time.

When asked if there was a reason why he had not obtained a licence, Stevens replied: "Not really".

Stevens pleaded guilty, was fined $150 and disqualified for one month.
