Repeat drink driver "very disappointed with himself"

A DRUNKEN motorist was almost three times over the legal limit when he was involved in a crash in Bundamba.

At Ipswich Magistrates Court, Michael Scott Jones pleaded guilty to driving over the middle alcohol limit.

Police prosecutor Sergeant Jo Colston said police breath tested Jones in relation to a traffic crash.

Sgt Colston said the 32-year-old blew a blood-alcohol reading of 0.148.

Jones said he was remorseful about his behaviour and that he was "very disappointed with himself".

Magistrate Barry Cosgrove noted it was the second time Jones had been caught drink-driving in the past five years.

Jones was fined $1200 and disqualified from driving for 10 months.
