Regional clubs benefit from valuable funding

GET Going Clubs provide assistance with up to $7500 in funding to support participation in sport.

Congratulations to the following local clubs who have been successful in round 6 of the funding program.

Central Districts Cricket Club: $4000 worth of equipment including 8 iPads.

Ipswich and West Moreton BMX Club: $7500 worth of equipment including bikes and helmets.

Ipswich Knights Soccer Club: $7500 to conduct FFA and sports trainer coach accreditation.

Ipswich Scare Force Junior Roller Derby: $7247 for equipment and to conduct coach and first aid training.

Ipswich Touch Association: $7500 to conduct referee and coach accreditation courses and a mentoring program for female referees.

Rosewood Little Athletics: $5580 to conduct officiating and coaching courses.

Springfield Lakes Junior Rugby Union: Coach accreditation, purchase equipment and deliver an advertising program.

Come and try bowls

HAVE you tried lawn bowls yet?

The United Bowls Club have linked with Bowls Queensland to hold a come and try session on November 26.

Bowls is a sport for all ages and abilities so why not head down to the club and give it a go.

The day starts at 10am with the club providing a free sausage sizzle.
