Redbank Plains gets 58-lot nod

REDBANK Plains is set to expand after approval was given to develop a 58-lot business park. Planning and development Committee chairman Paul Tully said the council had given the nod for the redevelopment of one large 349,080sq m lot.

“The development site is located off Redbank Plains Road, north of the Greenwood Village Road intersection, and is to be developed in accordance with the Redbank Plains Business Park master plan,” he said.

“It is a large, undeveloped area and the proposed lots are earmarked for light industry and service and trade uses as well as a child care facility, service station and restaurant or tavern.

“The developable lots range in size from 2050sq m to 1.118ha and the developer is required to dedicate a large recreational park and land ... to council,” Cr Tully said.

Division 3 Councillor Victor Attwood said the development site was a short drive from the Cunningham Highway and would provide valuable services to Redbank Plains residents.
