Rescue chopper called to motorbike park after 8yo crashes

THE Rescue 500 helicopter and Queensland Ambulance crews rushed to a crash after reports an eight-year-old had suffered spinal injuries.

The boy had come off this bike at Queensland Moto Park in Coulson, near Boonah, at about 3.18pm yesterday.

A QAS spokesperson said on arrival paramedics discovered the boy's injuries were not as severe as previously thought.

"He was found to have minor injuries and was transported to hospital privately," he said.

"We get called to that Moto Park a lot."

The spokesperson said the helicopter and multiple crews were called due to the nature of the injury and the age of the young child.
