YOU'RE more likely to have a rear-ender than any other type of accident in Ipswich.

Vehicles slamming into the back of other vehicles accounted for 2547 accidents in the region over 13 years.

Rounding out the top five most common accident types between 2001 and 2013 were approaches to intersections with 1742 crashes; leaving a straight stretch of road and hitting an object, with 1233; opposing turning vehicles slamming into each other with 860; and leaving a curve and hitting an object with 639.
