Club health check

COMING up to Christmas, summer sports halt fixtures until the new year and the winter sports have completed their AGMs.

Over the next few weeks, this is a good opportunity to conduct a club health check.

The Australian Sports Commission provides an online health check which only takes about 30 minutes.

Clubs are invited to include this on the agenda for the next meeting to make sure it gets completed.

The health check will provide details of where your club operates well and perhaps where some improvements are needed. These areas can then be focussed on as a priority and planning done to support them.

Complete the Club Health Check at nprsr.qld.gov.au.

Holiday activities

REMAIN active these holidays and check out the fun activities Ipswich has to offer over the summer.

Try a Kids go Wild activity, design, build and race your Lego at the Ipswich Art Gallery, attend movies in the park or visit the water parks at Riverheart and Robelle Domain.

Does your club need an alternate revenue stream?

Hosting a school holiday activity or camp could be an option to keep revenue streaming in over the holidays and to introduce new members to your club.

You may have some new volunteers available to help out as well. Could your club host a park run, its own version of stadium stomp or mini Olympics activities?

For school holiday ideas, visit the Council's events calendar or brisbanekids.com.au.
