IF you enjoy sleeping to the sound of rain hitting the roof, prepare to sleep like a baby.
The rain that has moved in over Ipswich in the past couple of hours won't be going anywhere soon.
The Bureau of Meteorology says it's going to be a wet 12 hours ahead with the rain expected to continue well into tomorrow morning.
It's been raining out west for the past 24-hours.
That band of cloud has been steadily moving towards the south-east corner, driven by an upper trough moving east across the south of the state.
Bureau forecaster Rick Threlfall said Ipswich residents can expect clearer skies by tomorrow afternoon with the rain predicted to clear just before noon.
"It's setting in now and will carry on throughout most of the night," Mr Threlfall said.
There are flood watch warnings in place for some Queensland Rivers, but not in the Ipswich area.
