Queensland's chief scientist charged with fraud

THE Palaszczuk Government's chief scientist Professor Suzanne Miller, who is also the CEO of the Queensland Museum, is facing fraud charges.

The Courier-Mail earlier reported a senior Queensland government employee had been charged with fraud following a Crime and Corruption Commission investigation.

The 52-year-old South Brisbane woman is alleged to have made around $45,000 in fraudulent private health insurance claims.

She was given bail on Monday and is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on August 8.
